UnderSTANDING YOUR TEEN:
Being a teenager is a very difficult thing to adjust to, theirbody is changing, their friends are changing and their becoming to be more independent...
To understand what your child, or now teen is going through you need to think back when you were in that same stage:
To understand what your child, or now teen is going through you need to think back when you were in that same stage:
- When you were younger you were looking for new things to try, the new rush and just doing something other than what your parents told you to do... This is not all bad, however it is when these rebellious feelings are not getting fulfilled with the regular things when you should begin to worry.
- Most of the time teens begin to withdraw from you, (to an extent), this is normal, so do not worry right away, they want their own time to be themselves just like you want time away from them too
- Another major concern is when your child is getting older they are changing in many ways, and will in almost every case begin to feel insecure. This is leaving them feeling self conscious and they become vulnerable to other kids and the WRONG new experiences, they just want to belong.
- This is where your job comes in - If you understand your teen and get to know the people and things going on in their lives and it will be easier to realize what is normal from them and when you need to worry.
